McIntosh apples, and Macoun apple are just better when grown in colder areas. Cortland apples another great New York Apple.  Some people just have to have Mcintosh and apple to bake that apple pie like Mom used to make.  You know they are Crisp when the say "Explosively Crisp"®

McIntosh Apple

• This well-known variety was discovered as a chance seedling by John McIntosh in 1811
• .McIntosh apples are aromatic, juicy, sweet and tangy-tart. 
• McIntosh has a tender white flesh and its skin has a deep red finish  that sometimes carries a green blush.
• McIntosh is great for eating out of hand, it might be best know for applesauce, but many enjoy McIntosh tart flavor in pies as well. (Cook´s hint: McIntosh´s flesh cooks down easily; if baking a pie, cut slices thick or add a thickener)
• We are proud of our McIntosh. They are grown in a colder region,  where they grow best, in the Adirondack Mountains of New York State!
• When you need a traditional apple, get yourself some Macs.  As Grandma Jordan says "That new apple is nice but I need a bushel of Macs""
